DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARUSHA–LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
You go for the Lake Manyara National Park in the morning following a short briefing about this 4 days Tanzania safari tour. The small park is dominated by the alkaline Lake Manyara and stretches along the 600-meter-high Rift Valley Escarpment. Here, hundreds of flamingos appear to tint the shallow seas pink. There are around 400 different bird species in the park, and many water birds congregate at the lake. Many creatures, including monkeys in the forest, giraffes and antelopes on the grasslands, and elephants among the acacia trees, can find homes thanks to the diverse vegetation. If you’re very fortunate, you might even catch a glimpse of the Manyara lions relaxing in the trees. You will depart Lake Manyara National Park in the late afternoon and go to your accommodation where you will have dinner and spend the night.
DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA AREA—SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
You will travel to the lush crater highlands after breakfast, where the Iraqis cultivate coffee, corn, and wheat. Before you arrive in the plains of the Serengeti National Park about noon, you will have passed the Ngorongoro Crater. The Serengeti, one of Tanzania’s biggest park, is home to a variety of habitats and environments, including short-grass plains, savannah, dense undergrowth, swamps, mountains, and lakes. There are strange rock formations called Kopjes all around the grassy area where predators are frequently spotted. You may see the park’s famed animal migration, which involves thousands of species migrating depending on the season. The herds migrate from the northern hills to the southern lowlands during the brief rainy season in November and December. They move back up north during the longer rainy season, which lasts from April to June. The location of the herds may change from year to year because of seasonal variations in rainfall, but your guide will know where to look for the animals and where to get the best views of them.
DAY 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK—NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
On the 3rd day of your 4 Days Tanzania Safari Tour, you will get up early to take part in an early morning game drive because dawn is an excellent time to observe animals. Breakfast will be served at the camp before you leave for another wildlife drive in the park. In the Seronera area, wildebeests and zebras frequently coexist with lions and other predators like leopards and cheetahs. You will continue traveling to the Ngorongoro Crater after a picnic lunch. You will have spectacular views of this 600-meter-deep fallen volcano once you reach the crater rim.
DAY 4: NGORONGORO CRATER—ARUSHA
You will go down the winding, steep path that leads into the crater after an early breakfast. Although the slopes are currently covered with forest, savannah soon replaces it. Here, the wildlife is very breathtaking, and with any luck, you can see the Big Five in a short period of time: the lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, and leopard. Warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and some of the region’s 500+ bird species should also be visible. You will leave the crater in the early afternoon to travel back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening, following a morning spent watching animals and a picnic lunch.
